Applebee’s franchisee bids to buy Pizza Hut’s largest U.S. franchisee

Flynn Restaurant Group is pursuing NPC International  with an $816 million bid to buy its assets, including hundreds of Pizza Hut and Wendy's restaurants.

NPC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July and now the deal awaits court approval.

The privately held Flynn group operates about 1,200 Applebee’s, Panera Bread, Arby’s and Taco Bell restaurants.
