Apple reported top- and bottom-line results in its fiscal first quarter that topped analysts' expectations.
Earnings per share were $2.84, above estimates of $2.67. Revenue was $143.8 billion, ahead of projections of $138.5 billion.
The company reported iPhone revenue at $85.3 billion. Analysts were looking for $78.7 billion in iPhone sales.
