Apple salvages $43M worth of gold from discarded products

Apple collected $43 million worth of gold from old iPhones and other electronic waste in 2015.

Of the nearly 90 million pounds collected, over 61 million pounds will be reused.

The company also salvaged $1.7 million worth of silver and $6.5 million of copper.
