Apple said to debut bigger-screen iPhones Sept. 9

Get ready Apple lovers, it's time for everyone's favorite pre-Christmas gift – a new iPhone.

Bloomberg reports the Cupertino, Calif.-based company is set to introduce two new models Sept. 9: one with a 4.7-inch screen and another with a 5.5-inch screen.

Anticipation has sent Apple Inc. stock (Nasdaq: AAPL) up 18 percent.

According to Bloomberg, the event on the second Tuesday in September keeps with a strategy of releasing new iPhone models in that month. Last year’s iPhone 5s and 5c also debuted on the second Tuesday of September.
