Apple retailer and service provider Simply Mac plans an Oct. 11 opening for its first Missouri location at Springfield's Battlefield Mall.

The location, 2825 S. Glenstone Ave., in the JCPenney north court, would be the Salt Lake City-based Apple authorized retailer's 16th store nationwide, according to a news release.

“This is one of 13 new locations we plan to open across several states this year," Simply Mac President Steve Bain said in the release.

Simply Mac sells, services and trades a number of Apple products, including phones, computers and tablets.

The opening comes the same month Apple Inc. was named the most valuable brand in the world, surpassing Coca-Cola, which fell to No. 3 on the recently released report by Omnicom Group’s corporate brand-consulting and identity corporation, Interbrand. The Apple brand is reportedly worth more than $98 billion.[[In-content Ad]]
