Apple reports worse-than-expected iPhone sales

Apple sold 77.3 million iPhones in the latest quarter, which was lower than the 80 million units analysts expected.

The news reignited fears of waning demand for the iPhone, despite Apple reporting its best-ever smartphone revenue, according to CNBC.

The $1,000 iPhone X helped push smartphone sales up 13 percent to $61.6 billion.
