Apple movies, iBooks shut down in China

Apple’s iBooks Store and iTunes Movies have been shut down in China, just six months after there were introduced there.

The State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television called on the closings, according to two people who spoke anonymously to The New York Times.

In China, American technology companies may face pushback if they gain too much market share. Apple has largely been seen as exception to that trend. According to the article, the removal of its books and movies may be a sign its relations in the country are turning.
