Apple loses 'iPhone' wallets lawsuit in China

A Beijing court delivered a knock to Apple in its efforts to take greater control of its iPhone brand in China.

The court ruled small Chinese manufacturer Xintong Tiandi Technology could continue using the "iPhone" name on its leather mobile accessories, including phone cases and wallets.

The company holds the trademark in China specifically to sell leather goods. Apple holds the iPhone trademark for phones only.
