Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook late last week was awarded 560,000 in vested apple shares worth $89.2 million.
Half of the stock awards were for meeting company performance goals. In order for Cook to earn the performance options, Apple's stock had to outperform two-thirds of S&P 500 companies during the past three years.
Cook yesterday sold $43 million worth of his stock, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
