Apple app store sales exceed $10B in 2013

Apple says customers spent more than $10 billion in its app store last year, on apps such as Minecraft, Angry Birds Star Wars and Sleep Cycle alarm clock.

The full-year figure was topped off by $1 billion sales in December, according to the Boston Globe.

Both the December and full-year sales figures were records, Apple says.
