Apple issued an apology to WordPress after the app was "locked out of the app store," according to founder Matt Mullenwag.
WordPress officials say it was being pressed to resolve the issue by adding in-app purchases. However, WordPress is a free-to-use website creator with no in-app purchases. The issue arose over WordPress selling payment plans on its website and not in the app store, CNN Business reports.
In its apology, Apple officials said the company would not block updates or require in-app purchases.
