Apollo Global to buy ADT for $7B

Private equity firm Apollo Global Management has penned a deal to acquire electronic security services provider ADT for $7 billion.

In premarket trading today, ADT shares rose 52 percent.

Apollo plans to merge ADT with its home security company Protection 1.
