Josh Harris, co-founder of investment firm Apollo Global Management Inc., plans to step down from his day-to-day responsibilities at the firm.
Harris had been seen as a likely successor to former CEO Leon Black, who exited after ties were revealed to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. The CEO position went to co-founder Marc Rowan.
Harris intends to leave behind his day-to-day role early next year to focus on personal investments, according to company officials.
