Anthem profits jump on Medicaid membership growth

As the insurer saw Medicaid membership grow, Anthem Inc. posted higher profits in its fourth quarter.

Medical enrollment grew 3.4 percent to 39.9 million during the quarter.

Earnings came to $368.4 million, which was up from $189.9 million a year earlier.

Revenue rose 7.6 percent to $21.7 billion.
