The second-in-command at the Department of Homeland Security is exiting the agency.
Claire Grady, the department's undersecretary of management, resigned after outgoing DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen recently announced plans to do the same.
According to USA Today, the resignations pave the way for President Donald Trump to install his preferred choice to lead DHS.
