Hedge fund veteran Philippe Jabre is returning money to investors after an “especially challenging” year, according to Bloomberg.
Jabre's Geneva-based Jabre Capital Partners SA is returning money in funds personally managed by the firm.
Two funds that had been managed by Jabre will be switched to management by outside money.
Highfields Capital Management LLC, Eton Park Capital Management LP and Blue Ridge Capital LLC also have exited or started to leave the hedge fund world in the past two years.
