An anonymous donor is working to energize growth at a tiny-home development in Branson.
The donor provided a $35,000 matching donation for Elevate Branson's Elevate Community project, according to a news release. Each 400-square-foot residence costs $35,000 to sponsor, so matching donations would make two new homes at the development a reality.
"This matching donation opportunity provided by an anonymous donor gives everyone a chance to get involved and support this initiative," said Bryan Stallings, CEO and co-founder of Elevate Branson, in the release. "With the total cost of each home being $35,000, we understand it's no small ask of individuals in our community."
Elevate Branson has started clearing roughly 5 acres adjacent to its headquarters for around 70 planned tiny homes. Construction for the first phase of 24 residences already has begun off-site.
Previously donors to the project include brothers Charlie, David and Larry O'Reilly and sister Rosalie O'Reilly Wooten, and grant funding in the millions of dollars also has been secured, according to past reporting.
