Anheuser-Busch is warning of consequences to businesses if a gas pipeline operated by utility company Spire is shuttered.
The future of the 65-mile, $285 million STL Pipeline is unclear after the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission found it may not be needed since only one gas supplier, an affiliate of the line's operator, committed to use it. It's currently allowed to operate through mid-December.
Anheuser-Busch, which relies on natural gas to make beer, indicated the loss of the pipeline would be damaging to its business and others.
