Anheuser-Busch investing $150M in Arnold plant, adding 70 jobs

Posted online
Prompted by strong demand for aluminum Budweiser and Bud Light bottles, Anheuser-Busch is investing $150 million in a facility expansion in Arnold. The existing plant employs around 200 workers, and another 70 will be added to help double the company’s aluminum-bottle capacity in the U.S.

Metal Container Corp., a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch, broke ground Thursday on the new 110,000-square-foot facility, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The addition is expected to open in the first quarter of 2016. At that time, the plant will double its capacity to 2,400 bottles a minute from 1,200.
