Anheuser-Busch buys New York craft brewery

Anheuser-Busch has agreed to purchase Blue Point Brewing Co., a Long Island, N.Y.-based craft brewery for undisclosed terms.

The deal, expected to close in the second quarter, would give Anheuser-Busch control fo a 15-year-old company founded in Patchogue, N.Y., where the brewery will continue to operate, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

Anheuser-Busch plans to extend Blue Point’s distribution beyond its current 15 states.
