'Angry Birds' maker Rovio lays off 130

The maker of popular video game "Angry Birds" is laying off 16 percent of its staff.

Rovio will lay off up to 130 staff in its native Finland, according to The Guardian.

“We are an entrepreneurial company and have been exploring multiple areas. We have been building our team on assumptions of faster growth than have materialized,” CEO Mikael Hedwrote in a blog post. “As a result, we announced ... that we plan to simplify our organization around our three key businesses with the highest growth potential: games, media and consumer products.”
