Amtrak is offering pay and benefits to employees who receive the COVID-19 vaccination.
The company announced it would grant excused absences to employees who receive vaccinations during regularly scheduled work hours. The train service business also intends to pay those employees the equivalent of two hours of wages.
“Recognizing the vaccine offers the best way to protect ourselves, loved ones, co-workers, we are doing our best to ensure all employees have vaccine access while delivering a new standard of travel for our customers,” Amtrak officials said in a statement.
