The CEO of Amtrak is stepping down.
Stephen Gardner said in a statement that his resignation was being made “to ensure that Amtrak continues to enjoy the full faith and confidence of this administration."
The Department of Government Efficiency led by Elon Musk recently suggested Amtrak should be privatized along with the U.S. Postal Service.
