Amsterdam Wi-Fi birdhouses battle pollution

A local designer in Amsterdam has a unique solution to the city's rising pollution problem.

Joris Lam's birdhouses are designed to emit free Wi-Fi when air pollution levels fall to a healthy level.

"I wanted to make something that measures air pollution locally and also makes the issue visible in an understandable, human-centric way," Lam said of his project dubbed Tree Wi-Fi.
