American Express Co. announced plans to sell half its business travel division and create a separate venture.
The company said it would give up 50 percent of its ownership in its global travel business in exchange for an investment of $900 million from a group led by New York Investment Firm Centares, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The business will operate as American Express Global Business Travel, a separate venture.
