American Apparel wins restraining order against founder

Posted online
American Apparel Inc. has been granted a restraining order against ousted CEO and founder Dov Charney.

The order, according to a company regulatory filing, bans Charney from breaching terms of a standstill agreement signed last year, including trying to remove board members and making negative statements to the press against American Apparel or its employees, according to Reuters.

Charney, who was sued by the company in May for violating the standstill agreement, was fired from American Apparel in December. That was six months after he allegedly misued funds and allowed the posting of a nude photo of a former female employee who had accused him of sexual harassment.
