Ameren targets net-zero carbon emission goal

St. Louis-based Ameren yesterday announced a goal of reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.

That would mean retiring two coal-fired power plants and investing $8 billion in renewable energy projects.

A growing list of power companies has made similar net-zero commitments.
