Ameren Missouri is seeking approval of a proposed solar project outside its Callaway County Nuclear Plant in Fulton.
The project appeared to gather public support at a hearing on Tuesday, according to reporting by KBIA. The project requires approval by the Missouri Public Service Commission.
The 250-megawatt solar plant is proposed on 1,200 acres. It would have the capability of powering roughly 44,000 homes.
