AMC running Prince's 'Purple Rain' in theaters for limited time

To honor the late pop star, AMC Theatres is showing Prince's cult classic "Purple Rain" in theaters for a limited time.

The 1984 film starring the artist who died Thursday started running April 23 and will continue through April 28.

AMC is showing the film in 87 theaters.

Downtown Springfield's Moxie Cinema also is showing the movie.
