A quartet of robotic warehouse workers – Ernie, Bert, Scooter and Kermit – were unveiled Sunday by Amazon to help reduce workplace injuries.
The robots are undergoing testing and development at Amazon’s research and innovation lab in Seattle, according to a company blog post.
The new additions are part of Amazon’s $300 million investment in safety projects this year. The company hopes to reduce recordable injuries by 50% by 2025.
