Amazon.com Inc. signaled major hiring plans.
The company is seeking 100,000 more employees, on top of the 876,800 people it employed as of June 30. The latter figure excludes contractors and temporary personnel.
Some of the jobs would be at 100 new warehouse and operations sites Amazon plans to open this month.
