Amazon to open new sorting center in STL

Amazon announced plans to open a new sorting center in north St. Louis County later this year.

The center is expected to create hundreds of jobs, though an exact number was not disclosed.

At sorting centers, Amazon separates packages by ZIP code prior to sending them to delivery stations or partner carriers.
