Amazon.com Inc. plans to launch a $2 billion venture capital fund to invest in climate change reduction efforts.
The Climate Pledge Fund will invest in companies in several industries, including transportation, energy generation and manufacturing.
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos said companies would be selected based on their "potential to accelerate the path to zero carbon and help protect the planet for future generations."
