Amazon announced an $18 billion investment to help third-party sellers expand revenue made on the company's e-commerce platform.
Third-party sellers make up more than 50% of all units sold in the Amazon store, according to company officials.
“Amazon’s success is directly tied to the success of independent businesses across the U.S.,” said Jeff Wilke, CEO of worldwide consumer at Amazon. “We are passionate about supporting small businesses, investing and inventing on their behalf to help them be resilient through COVID-19 and beyond.”
