Amazon to hire more than 2,500 full-time workers

Amazon announced Wednesday it would be adding more than 2,500 full-time workers, according to the Motley Fool.

The workers will fill positions in fulfillment centers in Washington, Tennessee, Kansas, South Carolina and Virginia.

The Motley Fool reports the new employees will be entitled to full benefits and compensation that is 30 percent higher than traditional retail jobs.

Amazon currently employs approximately 110,000 worldwide, and plans to add 18 to its current 100 fulfillment centers in 2014.
