Amazon to charge sales tax in Missouri

Online retailer Amazon plans to start charging a sales tax for customer purchases made in the Show-Me State, KY3 reports.

In a statement sent to KY3, an Amazon spokeswoman said the website would begin collecting a sales tax in Missouri starting Feb. 1.

Currently, Amazon collects sales taxes in 33 states and Washington, D.C., according to its website.
