Amazon announced plans to expand its Austin, Texas, workforce.
The company is adding 800 new tech jobs to its existing 6,600 jobs in the city.
Austin had been on the short list for Amazon's second headquarters, but ultimately the e-commerce giant picked New York City and northern Virginia. Plans for a campus in New York City have since been pulled.
