Amazon sets up temporary homeless shelter in Seattle

Amazon has pledged to house more than 200 people for a year in a building it owns near its Seattle headquarters.

The e-commerce company is working with nonprofit Mary’s Place to help address homelessness in the city.

The families would live in a 34,500-square-foot building that used to be a Travelodge hotel and most recently was a dormitory for Cornish College of the Arts students.
