Amazon outage causes widespread internet problems

Amazon Web Services, the company's cloud computing service, experienced an outage yesterday in the eastern United States.

The incident caused problems for thousands of websites and apps.

Amazon’s Simple Storage Service, or S3, stores files and data for companies on remote servers.
