Amazon announced plans to hire 75,000 more workers to meet increasing demand brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
Company officials said 100,000 new workers had been hired since mid-March, prior to the latest announcement.
The company now intends to invest more than $500 million in pay increases to workers, up from an earlier $350 million projection.
