Amazon announced Thursday it will raise the price of its Prime subscription service by 20 percent.
The price increase to $119 per year from $99 annually is set to take place on May 11 for new members. It will apply to renewals starting June 16.
Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos recently said Amazon has more than 100 million paid Prime members.
