Amazon is cutting more than 180 jobs from its gaming division, CNBC reports.
The company reportedly is shutting down its Game Growth and Crown Channel initiatives as part of the move.
"This isn't a decision the leadership team came to quickly; it was the result of extensive considerations and road mapping for our future," said Christoph Hartmann, vice president of Amazon Games, in a memo viewed by CNBC.
