Amazon adds 10M new Prime members during holidays

Amazon.com Inc. said on Friday it drew more than 10 million new members to its Prime shipping and digital content service over the holidays and intends to offer one-hour shipping to more cities in 2015.

The service, which costs $99 per year, allows customers free two-day shipping and access to a selection of streaming movies and songs.

Reuters reports it was unclear how many of the 10 million new members were only taking advantage of a standing 30-day free trial offer.
