Alphabet Inc. reported increased first-quarter earnings and revenue, with a boost coming from the company's YouTube and Google Cloud units.
Net income improved to $6.8 billion, compared with $6.7 billion a year earlier. Total sales were up 14% to $33.7 billion.
YouTube revenue jumped 33.5%, while Google Cloud’s sales rose 52%.
