Google parent company Alphabet is spinning off its laser-based internet company called Taara.
Taara provides high-bandwidth services to hard-to-reach areas, according to the Financial Times. It's seen as a competitor to Starlink.
Taara is in hiring mode and currently has around two dozen staff.
