Alphabet sells $3.6B in yen bonds

Alphabet has sold $3.6 billion in yen-denominated bonds.

That's the largest amount ever issued by a foreign company.

Seeking to build financing for artificial intelligence initiatives, Alphabet previously issued bonds in euros, sterling, Canadian dollars and Swiss ​francs.
