Alphabet reported quarterly results that were better than analysts expected.
Earnings per share were $2.31, ahead of projections of $2.18 per share. Revenue of $96.4 billion was ahead of the $94 billion projection by analysts.
The Google parent company also announced it would increase its capital investment by $10 billion this year.
