Alphabet could be big winner in Intel, IRS dispute

Google parent Alphabet stands to collect at least $3.5 billion in new tax benefits if Intel succeeds in its longstanding international tax dispute with the IRS.

The dispute involves cost-sharing arrangements between U.S. corporations and their low-taxed foreign subsidiaries.

At least 20 other companies reportedly are watching the outcome of the case, as well.
