Springfield-based Allen’s Mechanical has been acquired.
Cerris Systems, which has a location in Springfield, is the buyer, according to a news release. The financial terms were not disclosed.
“Allen’s Mechanical has built a reputation for quality, reliability and craftsmanship," said Chris Hutchings, president of Cerris Systems, in the release. "Bringing their team into the Cerris group of companies strengthens our capabilities and expands the value we deliver to customers across the region."
Allen’s Mechanical is a mechanical contracting firm with HVAC services including design-build, installation and ongoing maintenance.
Longtime Allen’s Mechanical employee Vicki Mayo has joined Cerris Systems as vice president of client solutions as part of the deal, according to the release.
Hannah Willey, communications specialist at Cerris, said all 35 Allen’s Mechanical employees are joining Cerris Systems. They will work out of Cerris Systems’ Springfield office at 3702 E. Kerr St. With the Allen’s Mechanical employees, Cerris Systems has more than 50 employees in Springfield.
"Cerris Systems looks forward to welcoming the Allen’s Mechanical team to the Cerris group of companies and continuing to deliver exceptional service together," officials said in the release.
Cerris Systems, a national mechanical, electrical and plumbing provider and building automation contractor, is part of Overland Park, Kansas-based Cerris, a roughly $1.5 billion company. Cerris Systems has 11 offices nationwide.
