Springfield-based manufacturer Allen Global LLC has entered the Eurasian market with the establishment of a company in Kazakhstan.
The oil-based fluid management and recycling equipment’s Allen Filtration Eurasia LLP is designed to handle all Eurasian marketing and sales. The company will form manufacturing and sales partnerships with other companies in the country and reduce the need for Kazakhstan and the region to import oils and lubricants, according to a March 17 news release.
The move came about after Allen Global CEO Jerry Nichols met last summer with Kairat Umarov, Kazakhstan’s ambassador to the U.S. Nichols also visited the country’s capital city of Astana in October and participated in the second Kazakhstan-U.S. convention in December in Washington, D.C.
“After my discussions with Ambassador Umarov, visiting Astana for myself, it was clear that Kazakhstan was the most investor friendly and politically stable of all Eurasian countries,” Nichols said in the release. “The Kazakh people are people I felt comfortable to do business with.”
Allen Filtration Eurasia will work to remove contaminants, dirt and dissolved water from oil-based fluids, including transformer, hydraulic and motor oil, as well as industrial lubricants. The process is meant to reduce companies’ expenses related to new oils or lubricants.
At home in January, Alllen Global announced it would create 50 new jobs over the next five years and make a capital investment of $1 million, according to
